MYCV Annual General meeting tonight at Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron
Hope to see as many of you as possible at
Thursday’s AGM and talk. Dinner will be available in the Olympic Bar at
RMYS from 1800-1900 and the bar will be open.
The AGM itself will be short as usual but there will be some interesting new info on the formation of a national multihull body.
The we’ll go straight into Peter Wellby’s talk on weather models, how they work and their uncertainties - should be a cracker!
Cheers, Charles Meredith (Commodore)

Sandringham Yacht Club to run a multihull division for fixed mark pursuit racing on Thursday evenings
John and Bruce Williams from Tyee III have persuaded their club
Sandringham YC to run a multihull division for their fixed mark pursuit
racing on Thursday evenings (daylight savings period only) and Sunday
mornings.
Great work guys!
They are keen to encourage any Port Phillip based multis to participate. In our discussions, Bruce and I felt that we need to recognise that it make take a little while to get a fleet going and that the small numbers are likely to mean that weekly... racing on both days will be asking too much. To this end, I'd encourage potential participants to contact me (chasm200@bigpond.com; 0419 280 322) to discuss how we might make this work (fortnightly/monthly races? aim for a few specific dates? open to suggestions).

Festival of Sails early bird entry - multihulls
Your Committee has decided will be no pre-Festival of Sails (FOS) multihull regatta this year as there will be quite a few boats focussing on the King of the Gulf regatta in SA. There will however still be the multihull division in the FOS itself over the Australia Day weekend and we are hoping to see a good fleet for that this year.
From the FOS website http://festivalofsails.com.au/ -
ONLY 12 DAYS LEFT TO WIN YOUR WAY TO NEW YORK CITY!
Early bird entry in to the 2016 Festival of Sails closes November 30th - which means if you haven't already entered, you only have 12 days left to get your entry in to be in the draw for some fantastic prizes.
ALL entries received by November 30th will go in the draw to win a trip for two to NEW YORK CITY.
As well as the Big Apple prize, all interstate entries will go in the draw to win a Bausele watch - the official timepiece of the Festival of Sails.
Don't miss the boat by not registering your entry by November 30th!
