There will however still be the multihull division in the FOS itself over the Australia Day weekend and we are hoping to see a good fleet for that this year.

From the FOS website http://festivalofsails.com.au/ -

ONLY 12 DAYS LEFT TO WIN YOUR WAY TO NEW YORK CITY!

Early bird entry in to the 2016 Festival of Sails closes November 30th - which means if you haven't already entered, you only have 12 days left to get your entry in to be in the draw for some fantastic prizes.

ALL entries received by November 30th will go in the draw to win a trip for two to NEW YORK CITY.

As well as the Big Apple prize, all interstate entries will go in the draw to win a Bausele watch - the official timepiece of the Festival of Sails.

Don't miss the boat by not registering your entry by November 30th!Peccadillohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15596271653355795338noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8872640460566794175.post-86191666648693822822015-11-15T21:40:00.002+11:002015-11-15T21:40:29.138+11:00The APC King of the Gulf Regatta is coming in FebruaryThe South Australians have been busy organising the second APC King of the Gulf Regatta, starting 19 February.
This blog is pretty quiet now, with most activity on our through Facebook page - Facebook is the best way to keep informed about MYCV activities now. In fact, we plan to develop a new website for the Club and then this blog will eventually cease.

Its been a pretty quiet winter for the Club but we are starting to gear up for Spring! The AGM will be held in September (you be emailed to date and location soon) and we will have an excellent speaker for the night, Dean van Teylingen from Ropeable P/L, who is an expert on running rigging.

SOMR will be on as usual over Cup weekend, back at Hastings, so hope to see you all there!

Finally, www.boatson.tv is a great site for sailing videos and news - have a look at the special they did recently on multihulls: https://youtu.be/1epxR2NLtLw
There are already half a dozen cats in them and RMYS is keen to welcome more multihulls. They offer short terms rentals, plus longer rental options are available for anything from 6 to 36 months or even 20 year leases.

I've got my cat Peccadillo there - the marina is great and so much cheaper than the commercial marina I was in!

They are currently offering a winter special - take a pen for 3 months and receive the fourth month free. You get a security fob for unlimited access to the marina and the clubhouse facilities and a parking permit for unlimited parking, and you don't need to be a RMYS member.

If you’d like to know more, contact Rod Austin at the Squadron on 03 9534 0227, email him at manager@rmys.com.au, or go to the website www.rmys.com.au.
